The groups who created their projects started making their presentation this morning, November 17. The presentations were considered by a group of judges, who decided which were the most interesting and had the best applications. The awards ceremony, to be held at Viet Xo Cultural Friendship Palace, will be televised live on VTV2 at 20:00pm, on November 19.

The Vietnamese Talents Awards is jointly held by Dantri/DTiNews, Vietnam Television and VNPT.

Each group has 45 minutes for their presentations as well as answering questions from the jury.

The event, the 8th of its kind, attracted entries from three categories of IT, applied sciences, and healthcare. For the IT sector, finalists will be divided into two groups: products that have already being successfully applied, and those with great potential for application.

The applied science category has drawn expertise from a wide range of areas, including mathematics, mechanics, physics, chemistry, biology and earth sciences. Many products awarded in the past have proven to have useful applications.

Some of the IT finalists were Viet2Go- software to support search and promotion of places through the application of augmented reality technology; MyESN Events Social Network for sharing information on traffic events, cities or even remote areas via mobile phone; TP-GAS ALARM V1.6 for warning of gas leakage at the earliest stages even from a distance by phone; Walltopforest with hardware and software that would be helpful with forestry.

Also among the finalists was QMC-E.TEST, a system that is not only useful for assessing student abilities but also helps to school management, and increase transparency in the education sector.
