Local reporter selected for US creative exhibition

Lao Dong (Labour) Newspaper Reporter Viet Van will be the sole Vietnamese representative with works showcased as part of “The Story of the Creative” exhibition, running from July 26 to September 10 in the US.
The nongovernmental organisation See.Me sponsored Van’s participation in the event, allowing him to join outstanding painters, sculptors, and photographers from all over the world.

The exhibition’s artists were narrowed down from 700,000 eligible See Me members. See.Me is coorindating with the Angle Orensanz Foundation of Contemporary Art to host the event.
Viet Van’s photograph “Decisive Moment”, capturing monks of the Khmer people’s Kompong Chray (Hang) Pagoda in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh, is one of the exhibition’s highlights. It has already won first prize at the People & Planet International Photography Competition in Australia and second prize at the UK’s April Pollux Awards.
