Students from the Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM) recorded a great success at the Asia Piano Academy Festival and Competition in Cheonan in the Republic of Korea from July 20-23, winning 5 gold and 1 silver medals.

The Competition included 46 pianists from 6 countries including the Republic of Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

The Vietnamese pianists were led by Dr Ta Quang Dong and lecturers Bui Cong Duy and Nguyen Trinh Huong.

At the competition, the Vietnamese musicians were praised by the panel of judges for their impressive performance and self-confidence.

Along with the 6 awards won at the Sydney Piano Competition in early July, this performance earned the VNAM international fame.
