Secondary School pupil To Huynh Phuc was selected among Ho Chi Minh City’s Top 10 outstanding citizens on December 26.

Phuc has won many gold medals for mathematics in various national and international competitions. He is also the youngest among the Top 10 outstanding citizens in the city.

16-year-old Bui Vu Nguyen Minh was also been selected for her gift with the piano. Minh is currently studying at Conservatory of Music of Ho Chi Minh City. She won third place at the 8th Isidor Bajic International Piano Memorial Competition in Serbia and was chosen to study at the Menahem Pressler Piano Studio in the US.

She won the Piano Merit scholarship at Music Academy of the West in California last year.

Eight other outstanding citizens were honoured for their achievements in various fields including start-up business or their work as outstanding civil servants.

The ceremony to honour the winners will be held in the early months of 2017.
