Digital technologies encouraged at Vietnamese Talent Awards 2018

The organisers of this year’s Vietnamese Talent Awards, entitled The Power of Digital Technologies are keen to encourage artificial intelligence, Internet of things, Big data products from startup communities.

Speaking at an online forum with Dantri/Dtinews' readers on August 22, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Talent Awards 2018's Organising Board who is also Deputy General Director of VNPT Media Corporation, Nguyen Van Tan, confirmed that this was currently the biggest IT competition in Vietnam and was intended to reflect technology trends.

"I believe that with a large IT-loving community here in Vietnam, we’ll have many quality products this year," Tan said.

Tan promised that the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) would support and co-operate with participants during and after the event.

"VNPT can co-operate in analysing Big Data, AI, VR, and provide free IDC and API for IT developers," Tan confirmed, adding that VNPT currently had around 25 million customers using 3G and 4G services who can also be future customers of IT products at Vietnamese Talent Awards.

Meanwhile, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper, Pham Tuan Anh, who is also Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Talent Awards 2018's Organising Board, said that they would help all the participants introduce their products.

"Many products including those which did not go far in the awards, have achieved lots of success over the last years after being promoted by the organisers," Anh said. "Websosanh did not go further in the final round but then successfully called for investment; DKT Technology Company’s Bizweb online selling product which won third prize at the Vietnamese Talent Awards 2013 had achieved good results in Indonesia and the Philippines."


The Vietnamese Talent Awards continues to prove its value as the country's most prestigious IT awards over the past 14 years with sponsorship from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.

The Vietnamese Talent Awards was initiated by the Vietnam Study Promotion Association and co-organised by VNPT, Vietnam Television (VTV) and Dantri/Dtinews online newspaper.

It is also sponsored by the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, Vingroup, Vietcombank, Vietnam Airlines, Eco ABBank, Sun Group, and Jetstar Pacific Airlines.
