Vietnamese businesswoman wins prestigious Smart Nation international award
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan – Chairman of the Advanced International Joint Stock Company (AIC Group) has just won the World's Best Smart Nation Concept and Model at the Global Smart Cities Contest in London.
The competition was organised by the World Smart Cities organisation in collaboration with the Normandy French Tech and the Institute of Control Sciences under the Russian Academy of Sciences.
This is the first time a Vietnamese representative has received this prestigious award at the Global Smart Cities Contest.
The product model created by Nhan and other coworkers from the AIC Group was highly evaluated at the competition for being able to connect the central authorities and different ministries, provinces and even at the basic level, such as schools, hospitals and companies using a number of smart apps.
It is expected that the product will benefit over 20 groups including leaders, managers, professional organisations, researchers, doctors, patients, teachers, students, tourists, and many other groups of the society," Nhan shared at the ceremony.
This year's competition attracted more than 100 models and smart city projects from participants from Estonia, France, Indonesia, Portugal Singapore, Spain, the UK, and the US.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan was also awarded the title World's Smart Cities Ambassador.

Nhan was presented the award at a ceremony held on Monday evening in the British capital.
