Vietnamese tennis player the youngest in world's top 400

With a score of 9,125, Vietnamese tennis player Hoang Thien has jumped from 497th to 371st position in the recent world’s rankings.

He is also the youngest player among top 400 in the world following these rankings. Thien was born on March 12, 1995 while all the other tennis players among top 400 were born from 1992 to 1994.

In 2009, Nguyen Hoang Thien made an impressive showing in International Tennis Federation events, entering the final round of both the Becamex Binh Duong and Singapore competitions in the Under 18 (U18) category.

He also won the championship title in U18 men’s pairs event at the Techcombank Hanoi competition.

In Vietnam, Thien topped the rankings of young tennis players when he won the championship title. At the national championships, he entered the final round.
