Hanoi-Spanish concert

Featuring pieces by Isaac Albeniz, Pablo de Sarasate Joaquin Tuirina and Joaquin Rodrigo.

Spain's David Gomez Ramirez will conduct the concert, comprising performances by guitarist Nguyen Thanh Hang, violinist Anna Sowanna Takeda and the Ha Noi Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hanoi-Concert “Ludwig van Beethoven”

Hanoi-Installation Exhibition “Pass the time” by Tran Ngoc Sinh

An installation exhibition “Lướt thời gian” (Pass the time) by Tran Ngoc Sinh.

The simple sketches gives his series of paintings a sense of honesty, as if he “writes the images” directly on the surface of paintings. His choice of colors is also simple with black lines on white background.

In addition to large-sized paintings, Tran Ngoc Sinh will present an installation of the contrast between objects and space, to raise questions about the value of each individual’s existence in a large community.

HCMC-Exhibition In Steps Impression 4 featuring works about nature

Introducing 50 latest works on nature with the theme of Space and Life by 11 popular artists of the 5P Artist Club including Nguyen Thi Tam, Co Van Hau, Nguyen Phi Long, Thanh Tam, Duyen Tran, Minh Minh, Yen Truc, Thu Nguyet, Phuong Trang, Nguyen Nhu Khoi and Tran Thuy Linh.

The works, including oil on canvas, water colour and acrylic, are the results of the artists' fact-finding trips. They depict typical features in the Southern landscape such as bamboo bridges and flowers.

Hanoi-Exhibition “Trace The Mountain” by artist Taihei Kimura

One of Japan’s most promising young artists, Taihei Kimura creates sculptural installations and performances created by deliberate demolition – vehicles falling from the ceiling, electric motors ripped apart by centrifugal force, bombs exploding inside a transparent resin structure.

Continuing his interest of conversing with the past, tracing the transformation of environment – resource depletion, moreover learning personal and collective memories and history, Taihei Kimura travels to Hanoi, Quang Tri and Quang Ninh for research and filming. His work allows the audience to think of the past remained and contemplate the relationships between human and nature, the contradiction between construction and deconstruction as well as the vulnerability of our every day existence.
