Hanoi-Hanoi Rock City celebrates 5th anniversary

A line-up of rockers, DJs and bands, will perform three nights. Friday night will feature Zamina, Ngot, Dr Peacock, Big Man&Bear. Saturday night stars the DJs Ali B2b Maggie, HLEB, Trung.D and MY.N. Sunday night will close with a lineup of rock bands- White Eagles, 18+, W A A H and Windrunner.

The birthday also serves as a fundraiser to support HIV-positive youths in Ba Vi, providing them with educational and entrepreneurial opportunities and support.

Hanoi-French pop-rock concert with La Grande Sophie

HCMC-Classical music concert raises funds for kids

Christmas charity concert Sounds of the Season held by the International Choir and Orchestra of HCM City.

The 75-minute concert will feature traditional Christmas carols and works by Handel, Palestrina and John Rutter. A silent auction will be held at the event.

Donation and proceeds will be given to the Loreto Vietnam-Australia Programme to help disadvantaged children in remotes areas.

HCMC- Expat threatre group stages tale Hansel and Gretel

Saigon Players, an English-language theatre group, will stage a British-style pantomime Hansel and Gretel based on the fairy tale by Brothers Grimm.

Hanoi-Exhibition “Vietnamese Lacquer – Korean Ottchil”

Showcases 39 artworks – 27 made by 25 Korean artists and the other 12 made by 12 Vietnamese artists. They focus on the beautiful landscapes, portraits and life of people in two countries.

*Korean Ottchil (lacquer) mainly uses Najeon-chil technique (using mother-of-pearl shells). Ottchil paint is taken from Ott-namu – a type of natural, environmentally-friendly and harmless paint.

An exhibition by the Type Directors Club, featuring a selection of this year’s most interesting contributions to the world of typography and graphic design.

The Type Directors Club’s annual awards competition presents the best typographic designs in the world. The awards are widely considered one of the most prestigious in their field. This year, a total of more than 1551 works from 49 countries entered the competition. 272 works from 28 countries won prizes.

Hanoi-Vietnam Photo Fair 2015

This is the first time Vietnam Photo Fair is held in Hanoi, attracting 15 authors from all over the country with different styles and themes but all interested in asserting the true value of photography.

Hanoi-Song Hong Half Marathon themed ‘Run for Rhinos'

HCMC-Music, dance festival helps disadvantaged kids

Saigon Outcast will host the Melting Pot festival to raise funds for charities to help local disadvantaged children.

Featuring day-long music and dance performances of local and foreign artists.

The first day will highlight pop, acoustic, rock and rap music by DJs, singers, rappers and bands like Bui Gio Band, 9th Dimension, Hazard Clique Saigon, Suboi, and Maraphoria and Starchild.

The second day will feature dance performances by American dancer Emily Navarra and hip-hop street dance crew X-Clown, and music shows by DJs Saigonlag and Slo-Lo, and the Javana band. The city-based Lang Kinh Drama Club will present its latest play at the event.

Art exhibitions and presentations will also be included.

Tickets: VND80,000 for each day or VND100,000 for two days.
