Sub-variant BA-2.75 was discovered in many countries in early July. Experts warned that this variant has mutations that could affect people’s immune system and be easily transmissible.

The Ministry of Health has instructed cities and provinces nationwide to closely supervise the pandemic and frequently update the number of infected cases. Localities have to provide timely treatment for patients to avoid the risk of more serious conditions or death.

Many cities and provinces have been slow in rolling out Covid-19 vaccination. The Ministry of Health has urged them to speed up the process to ensure disease prevention and avoid letting vaccines expire.
