Petrol prices sharply fall in latest adjustment

Retail petrol prices have sharply dropped by over VND1,000 per litre following the latest adjustment by the ministries of Industry and Trade, and Finance.

The price of E5RON92 biofuel fell by VND1,290 per litre to VND22,620 per litre and RON95 declined by VND1,410 to VND23,540 per litre.

Diesel prices also decreased by VND760 to VND19,840 per litre, and kerosene fell by VND840 to VND19,700 per litre.

The price of mazut oil also dropped by VND260 per kilo to VND17,660 per kilo.

In the latest price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund.

Since the beginning of this year, the ministries have adjusted petrol prices 19 times, increasing prices 11 times and decreasing prices on eight occasions.
