Binh Dinh wants to receive foreign tourists from November

The southern central province of Binh Dinh is seeking prime ministerial approval for a pilot project to welcome foreign tourists again from November.

Under the provincial people’s committee’s proposal, the province will focus on serving travellers from Northeast Asia, Russia, the US and Europe.

Tourists who come to Binh Dinh have to show the full Covid-19 vaccination certificate. They also need to test negative for Covid-19, using the RT-PCR method or rapid tests within 72 hours before their arrival.

All staff of travel companies who serve tourists are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

The province plans to reopen tourist sites in Quy Nhon City, Phuong Mai Island and Cat Tien Town in the coming time.

Binh Dinh has recorded 1,604 Covid-19 cases, including 1,382 discharged from hospital. Among those, 17 died from the disease.

Around 679,000 local residents aged from 18 have been vaccinated against Covid-19, including 81,200 being given the second shot of Covid-19.

Binh Dinh has allowed the resumption of many services from October 15, including spas and karaoke parlours.
