Attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Ha Van An’s and Ha Van Nguyen’s new houses in Thuong Xuan District on March 29, a representative from Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper presented VND50 million each to the two former war veterans.

Local officials expressed their sincere thanks to Dantri/Dtinews at the ceremony for its support for disadvantaged people in their area.

Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee Vice Chairman Ha Phuong An said that Ha Van Nguyen fought in Cambodia and suffered serious injuries. He had seven children and has lived in poverty for many years.

"We're very happy to see Nguyen receive Dantri's support," the official said. "Our commune also received support from the newspaper to build a new school some years ago. Thanks very much for your valuable help."

Nguyen also expressed his thanks to Dantri when receiving the financial support.

"Our lives have been very difficult due to my poor health," Nguyen said. " I’ll be able to build a better house with your support to replace our badly deteriorated old home. Thank you so much for your valuable help."

Dantri Newspaper has supported the construction of five houses and a school in Thanh Hoa since 2023 and will build another house and school in the area later this year.
