HCM City police arrested three young men accused of stabbing two Singapore men at a row in a local bar.

The men, arrested on March 9, were named as Duong Cong Trang, 29; Duong Minh Luan, 19 and Nguyen Hoang Duy 19, who are all living in the city’s District 1.

According to the police, on the evening of February 27, a group of Singaporean visitors came to DC Club in Cong Quynh District. While dancing, Singaporean Tan Chee Boon collided with Trang.

Police claim Tan Chee Boon did not make an immediate apology to Trang. Trang approached the Singaporean’s table for an argument and suddenly stabbed the Singaporean man with dagger, while his two associates joined the attack with glasses and bottles.

Boon’s friend Shi Zhi Xiang rushed to intervene, but he himself was also stabbed in the head with the same knife. The bar security officers then helped the two Singaporean men to a local hospital, while the young men fled.

The police detained Trang first and later arrested Duy and Luan, following Trang’s statement. The investigation is still underway.
