Chinese sailor treated for accident

A Chinese sailor was taken for hospital treatment after he was injured while working on his ship on July 11.


Chinese sailor transferred to Nha Trang for treatment

Nha Trang Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre received a report about a severely-injured crewman on the Chang Hang Cheng Gong ship at 3.20 pm on July 11. The ship was going from India to Japan at the time of the accident.

Cui Jisheng was hit by a hoist crane and suffered a 5-centimetre-deep wound. He had fainted after losing too much blood. The Chinese ship called for medical aid.

Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre contacted the ship and guided them on first aid until rescuers arrived.

A rescue boat found and approached the ship at around midnight. The injured crewman was transferred to Nha Trang City for his treatment.
