Hanoi’s biggest water park demolished for construction violation
Thanh Ha Water Park, the biggest of its kind in Hanoi, is being dismantled due to lacking a construction licence.
The project, invested by Muong Thanh Group, is located at Muong Thanh Thanh Ha urban area in Ha Dong District. Being put into operation in June last year, the park includes facilities designed like European-style castles with many entertainment areas and thrilling games.
The park was shut just three months after being opened after two boys drowned.
According to Duong Ngoc Thoa, vice chairman of Phu Luong Ward People’s Committee, the project investor was requested to remove the project within 15 days, however, they ignored this. So, local authorities forced to dismantle the work.
On Wednesday, more than 100 people were sent to demolish 19 facilities of the park, including the main gate and water slides.
