National Highway 49 in A Luoi District has been facing landslides since Wednesday evening, blocking traffic.

This morning, October 8, local authorities mobilised machines and equipment to clear soil and mud and warned people of further landslides which would happen on the route.
Fences were set up in the landslide spots to prevent people from travelling.
Nguyen Manh Hung, chairman of A Luoi District People’s Committee, said that the road was cleared at 10 this morning.
Because of the heavy rain, a section on Hai Van Pass in Phu Loc District also saw landslides and fallen trees.
Meanwhile, authorities of the central city of Danang also instructed localities to prepare preventive measures for potential landslides.
Many localities in the central region are facing the serious floods due to heavy rain.
