On March 11 the Hanoi police investigated the scene of the fire at the JSC building at Khuat Duy Tien and Le Van Luong roads.

The police are considering the possibility that criminal proceedings will be filed for this case.

At the scene, DTiNews saw thick and black smoke inside a trash receptacle which coincides with the opinion of many people here that the fire came from the trash receptacles.

Investigators are focusing on checking the trash shoot openings on all floors of the building.

On the 17th and 18th floors, all walls, doors, floors and ceilings of apartments are fully covered with dust, ash and the smell of burning.

Apartment No 1810 belonging to Vuong Lan Phuong, where she and her son were found dead, is under intensive investigation. Her kitchen had a lot of fresh food. She was likely preparing dinner for her family when the fire occurred.

An apartment next to hers was found to be intact. The scene is strictly protected as the investigation continues.
