Twenty-nine Vietnamese martial artists will be competing at the third World Vovinam Championships in Paris, France, over July 5–7.
Representatives from 25 countries will vie for a total of 38 medals in both combat and demonstration divisions.

The tournament is part of anniversary commemorations for 40 years of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties.

The World Vovinam Federation’s executive committee will hold their annual meeting within the framework of the event.

The French-based Vietnam Cultural Centre’s “Vovinam Day in France” will display a series of photographs documenting the martial art’s development and defining features.

Ho Chi Minh City successfully hosted the two previous World Vovinam Championships, and Vietnam finished first at both.
