E-visa pilot programme approved
Vietnam will pilot e-visas from February 1, 2017.
The National Assembly passed the resolution on the implementation of e-visas pilot programme on November 22.
NA deputies approved the programme
The programme will run for nearly two years from February 1. The results will be reported to the NA for further consideration by the end of 2018.
The e-visa application process will require fee to be paid by wire transfer. The visa will be granted within three days and be valid for up to 30 days.
The government will decide the list of countries are eligible and which border gates that are authorised to provide and accept e-visas.
