PM Phuc to visit to Singapore, attend ASEAN Summit next week
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Spouse will pay an official visit to Singapore and attend 32nd ASEAN Summit from April 25-28 at the invitation of Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong, Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang told reporters on Thursday.
This is the first official visit of Mr. Phuc to Singapore since he became the PM of Viet Nam and it takes place on the occasion of the 45th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 5th anniversary of establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries.
The two PMs are expected to discuss orientations and measures to further strengthen bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common concerns.
PM Phuc will also meet with the President of Singapore, deliver a speech at Singapore Management University, and attend Viet Nam-Singapore Busines Forum.
At the 32nd ASEAN Summit themed “Resilient and Innovative”, the regional leaders will discuss on how to enhance cooperation and connectivity and to deal with common challenges in order to build the ASEAN Community of solidarity, strength and sustainable development.
During the Summit, PM Phuc will have bilateral meetings with leaders of the ASEAN member States.
