HCM City vice chairman files resign
Vice Chairman of HCM City People’s Committee Le Van Khoa has submitted his resignation letter to municipal authorities citing health problems.
The municipal people’s council will hold a meeting to discuss his resignation today.
Khoa has been taking the position for two years. He is in charge of managing the city’s issues related to urban planning and development, land management, transport, water supply and construction activities.
Tran Vinh Tuyen who is also HCM City People’s Committee vice chairman has been temporarily assigned to take over Khoa’s duties.
Khoa was born in 1961 in the central province of Quang Nam. Before being assigned to be the municipal people’s committee vice chairman, he was chairman of District 5 People’s Committee and director of the city’s Department of Industry and Trade.
However, Khoa’s health problems have not yet been disclosed.
