Danang dismantles illegal tourism construction on forest land
Authorities in the central city of Danang's Lien Chieu District have started dismantling construction built illegally on forested land in the area.
According to the Hoa Hiep Bac Ward People's Committee, they noticed that Nguyen Nhu Tien began building the Thuy Van Son 2 Ecological Tourism Site on forested land that he had been assigned to manage on Suoi Luong Road. Tien was told to stop the construction work and submit papers and a report on his project within 15 days. However, he continued his construction activities at the site.

In 2007, Tien signed a contract with the management board of Nam Hai Van Forest to receive 5,500 square metres of land for forest plantation. However, local authorities discovered he used 13,700 square metres and was building an ecological tourism site without permission.
The illegal construction works were removed on Wednesday.
