Heavy rain caused a landslide, killing three workers and injuring four others in central Ha Tinh province on May 6.

Rescue forces retrieve the dead workers from debris at the site.

The landslide occurred at 3 pm on May 6 in a place near the construction site of the 500KV power transmission line in Ky Lien ward of Ky An town.

When the incident happened, a group of 18 workers were staying inside a makeshift shack down the hill.

Rocks and soil fell down, burying workers sheltering from the rain inside the shack.

Relevant forces, including policemen and border guards, were dispatched to the site to deploy rescue work.

Three workers were found dead at the site, four were injured, and 11 others managed to escape the incident.

Leaders of Ha Tinh rushed to a nearby hospital to inquire into the health condition of the injured workers.
