English National Ballet to perform in Vietnam

The world-renowned English National Ballet is headed to Vietnam and will perform Vue de l’Autre with choreography by Vietnamese dancer Le Ngoc Van in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnamese dancer Le Ngoc Van’s Vue de l’Autre is one of the major attractions for local audiences. Other highlights include performances of Trois Gnossiennes, excerpts from Suite en Blanc and the Black Swan Pas de Deux.

English National Ballet will also deliver a master class for the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Vietnam College of Dance in Hanoi on September 13.

A further class will take place in Ho Chi Minh City for the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra and  Ho Chi Minh City College of Dance on September 16.

Finally they will also undertake a talk entitled “Sharing Best Practice of UK Ballet” at VTV3 for future broadcast.

The trip, and arranged by British Council Vietnam and sponsored by HSBC, represents the first visit by the prestigious ballet company to Vietnam. They will perform at the Opera House in Hanoi on September 14 and on September 16 at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House.
