The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) said that it would fine Vietnam Airlines captain and aircrew of Airbus 321 for allowing model and actress Ly Nha Ky to pose in cockpit.

Ly Nha Ky takes photos with pilots at the cockpit

This flight VN 595 from Hong Kong to HCM City on April 11, violating aviation safety regulations.

The photos were taken when the airplane was flying at the regular altitude. Model Ly Nha Ky posed comfortably besides the flight crew. She even wore the pilots’ hats and sat at the place of the co-pilot.

An official from the CAAV said allowing a stranger to come in the cockpit is violating aviation safety stipulated in the Vietnam Civil Aviation Law.

The aircrew were fans of Ly Nha Ky so they invited her to take some photos with them.

Nguyen Trong Thang, Chief Inspector from the CAAV said the fine decision would be signed this morning (May 10).

However, speaking to DTiNews reporter, a spokesman for Vietnam Airlines Le Truong Giang showed his surprise, saying “I have not yet received any report about the case, but will check into it."
