A beauty salon in Hanoi has admitted that they threw a female customer into the Red River after she died from their treatment.

The victim is Le Thi Thanh Huyen, 39, on Hang Thiec Street. The victim's husband, Nguyen Huu Huy, had brought the case to the police in Long Bien District, Hanoi.

According to Huy, the last phone call from his wife was at 9am on October 19 and then at 11am, her phone was turned off. At midnight, a stranger called Huy and said they found his wife's motorbike on Co Linh Street in Long Bien District with keys and all of her belongings.

The family had quickly reported a missing case to the police. When Huy washed his wife's clothes he found an invoice, dated on October 18 at Cat Tuong Beauty Salon on 45 Giai Phong Street, Hai Ba Trung District.

After receiving the evidence, on October 22, the police had conducted an investigation at Cat Tuong Beauty Salon. On the same day, Nguyen Manh Tuong, owner of Cat Tuong Beauty Salon admitted that he was the one who carried out the breast lift surgery for Huy's wife and accidentally killed her in the process. She died at around 6 pm on October 19.

Tuong also used his own car to go to Vinh Tuy Bridge and dumped the body into Red River that evening. The victim's motorbike was then brought to the area to create fake crime scene.

The police of Hanoi Department of Public Security has detained and prosecuted Tuong for murder. "We'll rename his crime after the body is found and examined." Colonel Duong Van Giap said.

The victim's family and the police are still trying to find the body. Meanwhile, Nguyen Viet Cuong, head of Hanoi Department of Health said that they have not granted business licence to Cat Tuong Beauty Salon.
