Obama had "Bun cha" at Hanoi's streetside restaurant

US President Barack Obama yesterday amazed local people in Hanoi when he had "Bun cha" or grilled pork with rice noodles for dinner at a streetside restaurant in the Old Quarters.

President Obama dined with chef Anthony Bourdain at Huong Lien Restaurant on Le Van Huu Street, one of the most famous restaurants in town.

Bourdain then wrote on Twitter: "Total cost of Bun Cha dinner with the President: $6.00. I picked up the check."

The famous chef also commented on Facebook that the President's chopstick skills are on point.


Many local people came to get a glimpse of the US President

The visit of the US President had amazed thousands of Hanoi's local who came to get a glimpse or take photos of one of the most powerful men in the word.


Before leaving the restaurant, Obama spent some minutes to pose with local people.


Bun Cha is one of the specialties of Hanoi besides Pho or Hanoi beef rice noodle.
