Many people in Hanoi are flocking to West Lake to take a dip despite the ban and warnings about possible risks.
Hanoi is experiencing its first hot spell of the summer with temperatures reaching as high as 38 degrees. At around 5 pm, hundreds of local people rush to West Lake as a way to beat the heat, instead of going to swimming pools.
People coming to the lake are at different ages. Some even take their pets to have a bath too.
Many people said that bathing in West Lake makes them feel more like they’re on a beach, while they don’t have to pay money for the entry.
