Vietnam-Cyprus visa exemption agreement approved
The Vietnamese government has approved an agreement on mutual visa exemption for individuals holding diplomatic and official passports signed with the Republic of Cyprus.
The
agreement was signed by Vietnamese Deputy FM Bui Thanh Son and Cyprus
FM Ioannis Kasoulides on September 11, 2015 during Mr. Son’s two-day
visit to Cyprus.
Both sides agreed to boost exchange of all-level delegations and exert efforts to promote
trade and investment co-operation into a highlight in bilateral
relations.
They also reached a consensus on
a number of specific measures to encourage and create favorable
conditions for the two countries’ businesses to strengthen
contacts, experience sharing and partner connection, especially in the
fields of Cyprus’s strengths and Vietnam’s
demands such as labor supply, trade, tourism
services and wood processing.
The Vietnamese Foreign Ministry has
been assigned to complete diplomatic procedures as stipulated and inform
relevant agencies of the effective date of the agreement.
