 >>  Vietnam asks for quickly finding culprit in death of Vietnamese girl in Japan
The family of the Vietnamese nine-year-old girl who was recently found dead in Japan said that they are facing language and legal difficulties with Japanese agencies.

Speaking with Vietnamese newspapers, Le Anh Hao, the father of the victim Le Thi Nhat Linh, said there was no new information related to the investigation. His family was co-operating with Japanese and Vietnamese agencies.

Linh was found dead on March 26 at a site near a drainage ditch some 10-12km from her school

On March 28, the Vietnamese embassy in Japan called on the Japanese to quickly find out the apparently murdered girl.

Yesterday, Linh’s mother Nguyen Thi Nguyen and her three-year old brother returned to Japan after returning to Vietnam just two days before Linh was found missing on March 24.

Hao said that his family is facing some problems while working with Japanese agencies for the case due to the language barrier as well as the limited understanding of Japan’s legal system. The family wanted to find a lawyer who clearly understands about Japanese law and interpreters for help.

Linh’s family reported her missing to police after they failed to find her when the teacher phoned at 9am to inform that she had not shown up at school on March 24 morning.

While she was unaccounted for, a dead girl without clothes or other items that could be her belongings was found on the morning of March 26 at a site near a drainage ditch some 10-12km from the school.

Her father confirmed her as Nhat Linh.
