Thousands of people are flocking to the northern province of Phu Tho to attend the Hung Kings’ Temple Festival on April 6.

The festival is held on the tenth day of lunar March, which fell on April 6 this year. But thousands of people across Vietnam have already arrived in Phu Tho Province to offer incense and flowers.

At the main yard, along the route to the Thuong, Trung, Ha and Gieng temples, there are long lines of people queuing. The traffic is particularly crowded on the way to and from Gieng Temple and visitors had to walk really slowly.

According to the management board of Hung Kings' Temple, over three million visitors have come from April 1 to 3. The number will continue to rise on April 5 and 6.

Luu Xuan Huy, director of the management board of Hung Kings Temple Site, said the festival would be held at Thuong Temple at 6.30 am on April 6, one hour earlier than last year.
