17 hospitalised in Danang food-poisoning incident
17 tourists were rushed to hospital with food poisoning after eating chicken and rice at a restaurant in Danang City.
The patients, 14 of whom were going on a tour to Danang together said that they had the problems after eating rice with chicken for dinner at 5.30pm at a restaurant at 253 Ho Nghinh Street, Son Tra District.
One of the patients, Pham Trung Viet, said on Monday morning that they all felt unwell at around 8 pm and had to be rushed to hospital.
"We met some other people including foreign tourists who experienced the same problems like us at the hospital," Viet said. "They said they also ate chicken rice at that restaurant which was a very popular address for the dish in Danang."
Viet said that most of them have been discharged from hospital by Monday morning while five serious cases are still being monitored.
