Chinese President pays respects to President Ho Chi Minh

General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and State President Xi Jinping on November 13 paid his respects to President Ho Chi Minh at the late president's mausoleum during his two-day official visit to Vietnam.



The Chinese president came and laid a floral wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum at 9.30 am.


The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong then guided his Chinese counterpart around President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house.




The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and his Chinese counterpart feed the fish at the President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house on November 13.


After that, President Xi will have a meeting with President Tran Dai Quang at the Presidential Palace.

The Chinese president will end his Vietnam visit and leave the country this afternoon after attending a lunch party hosted by President Tran Dai Quang.

The visit marks an important step in relations between China and Vietnam. This is the first foreign tour by Xi Jinping since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

On November 12, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping witnessed the signing of 12 co-operation agreements and the exchange of seven other documents in Hanoi.
