German tourist found lost on Cat Ba Island
A German man has been found exhausted after losing his way for around six hours in Cat Ba Island National Park in the northern province of Hai Phong.
Police in Cat Hai District received the information from the family of Werner Gunter Doblies, 79, saying that he had gone missing while walking in Cat Ba National Park at around 9 pm on November 16.
The man had got lost while walking in the forest with his family.
Police worked with the local forest management board and border guards to conduct the search.
Doblies was found and taken to the local medical centre.
Doblies said he got lost after enjoying his surroundings and losing sight of his family.
Doblies and his family then came to thank the police for their help.
