45 Vietnamese people expelled for illegally entering China
Chinese authorities have expelled 45 Vietnamese people who were detained for illegally entering the country.
Police and border officers of the northern mountainous province of Lang Son received the people that were handed over by Chinese authorities on January 8.
According to the police, they are from Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen and Bac Lieu provinces.
At the police station, the people said that they were unemployed so they tried to come to China to look for work.
However, they entered China without legal papers, so they were detained for 2-3 months.
Lang Son police said that in December 2017 along, they received 12 groups of more than 400 Vietnamese people expelled for illegally crossing the province’s borders into China.
