The Drug Crime Investigation Department under Lang Son Provincial Police has busted a major drug trafficking ring, seizing a total of twenty packages of heroin.

Driver Pham Xuan Lan is detained while transporting 20 packages of heroin in Lang Son Province on May 16

The raid was carried out at 5:30 pm on May 16th in Chi Lang District when police inspecting a truck found a large amount of drugs hidden inside.

According to the truck's driver, Pham Xuan Lan, 37, he was hired to transport the drug from Son La Province to Lang Son.

Local police conducted an urgent search at Voong's house in Lang Son City at 8pm the same day and seized a car, 10 mobile phones, 41 bullets and VND57 million (USD2,512) in cash.
