According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, the northern region and localities in the central region ranging from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh provinces would have heavy rains today, July 17, and tomorrow. 

Northern and central localities face flash flood, landslide risk

On July 19-20, heavy rains would happen in many northern mountainous localities.

The centre said that on July 16-20, Red River, Da River, Thai Binh River and many other rivers from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri would see floods as the water level rises.

Flash floods have also been forecasted for localities such as Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh.

Meanwhile, the northern mountainous region could face landslides.
