People in Can Huu Commune, Quoc Oai District, remained completely isolated on July 23. Local residents could only move using canoes and boats.
Many areas are up to 1.5 metres under water.

According to the Hanoi Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, thousands of hectares of crops and aquatic farms in Hanoi’s suburbs have been flooded.
Many schools in Hanoi’s outlying districts have also been inundated.
