USD308m 2.2km Hanoi road project approved
Hanoi authorities have approved VND7.2trn (USD308m) in funding for the 2.2-kilometre Hoang Cau-Voi Phuc stretch of Ring Road 1.
The first phase will cost VND7.2trn, including VND5.8trn (USD248m) is for ground clearance from the city's budget. The project will be implemented from late 2018 to 2020.
Parking lots and green spaces are also designed along the road. The Hoang Cau-Voi Phuc is part of the Ring Road 1 project that connects with other routes to the city's centre.
This would be the most expensive road expansion project yet in Hanoi.
