Passenger fined VND8.5m for sexual harrassment
A male passenger has been fined VND8.5m (USD367) for sexually harassing a female passenger on a Vietjet flight from Hanoi to HCM City.
According to the Southern Airport Authority, the male passenger's action was harassment of the female passenger. However, it was not serious enough to be a criminal offence. The male passenger was fined VND8.5m.
In late July, a male passenger named Vu Anh Cuong was also caught sexually harassing a woman and a flight attendant in a Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to HCM City.
The captain then refused to transport Cuong. The crew member and the ground staff filed a report and asked Cuong to leave the plane. He was later fined VND10m.
