Hanoi authorities will ban traffic from five streets in the city centre for a spring flower market.

Hang Luoc flower market

Hoan Kiem District People's Committee will hold a spring flower market and various activities at Phung Hung Street from January 9 to 24. Traffic will be banned from five streets including Hang Luoc, Hang Ruoi, a section of Hang Khoai, Hang Ma, and Phung Hung streets.

The proposal has been sent to the Department of Transport. Hoan Kiem authorities also ask to let them open several parking lots around the market during this time.

According to the plan, there will be one parking lot on Hang Luoc, two parking lots on Dong Xuan and one parking lot on Thuoc Bac and Hang Dong streets each. The largest parking lot on Dong Xuan Street will cover 80 square metres and the smallest is 30 metres on Hang Luoc.

For Tet Holiday, fireworks displays will be held in 30 venues across Hanoi including Hoan Kiem Lake, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, My Dinh Stadium, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, and Son Tay Citadel.
