Canadian tourist drowned in Quang Nam

A Canadian tourist drowned while swimming at a beach in Quang Nam Province.

On February 13, Nguyen Van Quang, vice chairman of Cam An Ward People's Committee in Hoi An, confirmed that a Canadian tourist had drowned while swimming.

At 9 am on February 12, 59-year-old Frederic Kebirou went out for a swim at An Bang Beach and was swept away by a wave. Local people quickly launched a search for him. His body was found later.

Cam An Ward authorities have transferred his body to the hospital's morgue and reported to the authorities in Hoi An and Quang Nam.

The police are investigating the case.
