Quang Ninh Province has not reported any new virus infection cases in the community over the past three weeks and started to resume economic and social activities. Several tourist sites have also been reopened since March 2 but only for people who are staying in Quang Ninh.

On March 2, the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes in Uong Bi City was reopened. Handwash was placed at all bus stations, train stations and cable cabins. Visitors were reminded to wear face masks.

Le Trong Thanh, deputy director of Tung Lam Company said, "We strictly follow all preventive measures. The cable cabs only work at half of the capacity and restaurants must follow safe distancing rules. We have very few customers on the first day but expect to receive more. We hope to have 500-700 visitors a day."

Sun World Ha Long Park or tourism ports will be reopened on March 15. Firms have prepared for the reopening. However, as the tourism sector is only opened for provincial residents, the demand for cruise boats and overnight stays are low.

Tran Van Hong, vice head of Ha Long Cruise Boat Association, said, "We will need a plan for our human resources when there are more visitors. We'll go to vocational schools to attract and recruit employees with reasonable wages and benefits."
