Vietnam has seen more Covid-19 deaths

The case in Bac Giang was a 67-year-old woman in Viet Yen District who faced diabetes and hypertension for many years. On June 3, she tested positive for Covid-19. She was treated at Bac Giang Lung Hospital and depended on the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) method.

On June 13, she was moved to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi as her condition worsened. She then failed to respond to the treatment and died on Monday due to Covid-19 complications.

The two men and one woman who died in HCM City had no underlying medical conditions and were aged between 49 and 63.

The 102nd fatality was a 62-year-old man in HCM City’s District 1 who struggled with diabetes.

To date, the country has reported 102 Covid-19-related deaths, including 67 since late April when the fourth Covid-19 wave started hitting Vietnam.
