Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City has become bustling following a long suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Transport has agreed to the pilot operation of 19 domestic flight routes between October 10-20.

All passengers are required to have two Covid-19 vaccine jabs, with the second taken at least 14 days before boarding a plane; or having recovered from Covid-19 within six months.

Passengers must also test negative for Covid-19 via the PCR method within 72 hours before departure. They must also use the Covid-19 tracking app (PC COVID) during the flight.

Passengers queued up for check-in procedures for a flight of Vietnam Airlines on Monday at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Vietnam Airlines staff were arranged in groups to support passengers.

Nguyen Van Hoang said that he had chosen to fly from HCM City to his hometown in Danang to save time although the tickets were a bit higher than before.

On October 11, seven flights departed Tan Son Nhat International Airport for Hanoi, Danang and Tuy Hoa, so many stalls still closed. Initially, 13 return flights depart Tan Son Nhat for Binh Dinh, Danang, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Nghe An, Phu Yen, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Thanh Hoa, Haiphong, Phu Quoc, Gia Lai and Rach Gia.
