In their latest announcement, Vietnam Airlines Group, which comprises Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vietnam Air Services Company, said that it would add more than 1,500 flights with 224,000 seats for the festival.

The addition will be on busy domestic routes connecting big cities and tourist destinations, including Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Quang Nam, Buon Ma Thuot, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc.

Vietnam Airlines has already been selling tickets on both domestic and international flights conducted between January 6 and February 5, 2023, which is expected to be the peak Tet travelling time.

Amid rising travel demand for the Tet occasion, Vietravel Airlines said that they had sold out tickets for the HCM City-Hanoi and HCM City-Quy Nhon routes and 60 percent of tickets on some other main routes.

Bamboo Airways also announced that they would raise transportation capacity by 15 percent and add about one million additional seats due to high demand between January 6 and February 10, 2023.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport in the southern economic hub of HCM City has announced that they will serve an average number of 800 flights with 120,000 passengers daily during the coming Lunar New Year holiday. In addition, the airport authorities have asked airlines to arrange more flights at nighttime during that peak period.

Vietnamese public employees will have seven days off from January 20 to January 26 for Tet Holiday.
