Two people have died after a truck plunged off the Lo Xo Pass in the Central Highlands Province of Kon Tum early Tuesday morning.

Two people have died after a truck plunged off the Lo Xo Pass in the Central Highlands Province of Kon Tum early Tuesday morning.
Police in Dak Glei District reported that the accident occurred at 2 am when a truck was running through the Lo Xo Pass on the Ho Chi Minh Highway when it suddenly fell into a canal by the roadside.
The truck driver, Nguyen Quang Nhan, 32, and his assistant Nguyen Tan Toan, 25, died on the spot. It took rescue forces many hours to extract the bodies from the truck, which was heavily damaged after the accident.
The truck is heavily damaged.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
