Noi Bai airport driver returns thousands of USD to passenger
A driver of Noi Bai Airport Services Company (NASCO) has returned VND152 million (USD5,905) left by a passenger.
On April 14, after serving passengers on national carrier Vietnam Airlines’ flight VN214 on the HCM City-Hanoi route, Nguyen Ngoc Huan drove the bus to Noi Bai International Airport’s parking area. He then found a black bag left on the vehicle.
He quickly reported the case to his managers.
The bag contained VND152 million and the private papers of a male passenger. It was then handed over to the airport's lost and found department to find the owner. The bag was received by the male passenger shortly after.
Huan has worked at Noi Bai International Airport for a long time and has seen many such incidents.
Noi Bai International Airport advises passengers to carefully check their luggage before leaving the airport, especially at locations like baggage carts, security screening trays and waiting areas.
