The Moc Chau tourism complex spanning a total of 206,000 hectares in Moc Chau and Van Ho district in the northwestern province of Son La has been officially recognised as a national tourism site under a recently-signed decision by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Dai Yem waterfall is a popular tourist site in Moc Chau.

Thanks to its unique topographic and geologic conditions, Moc Chau boasts a rich ecosystem with a cool steppe climate, all of which is ideal for resort tourism.

Dai Yem waterfall, the pine forests of Ang village, the five underground caves in On village, the Xuan Nha national nature reserve, and Pha Luong peak are among the top scenic spots found in Moc Chau.

Moc Chau is populated by the Thai, Muong, Mong, Dao, Xinh Mun, and Kho Mu ethnic people. Each group has its own customs, rituals, literature, costumes, dances, musical instruments, handicrafts, and food.

The Moc Chau tourism complex welcomed more than 2.2 million arrivals with a tourism revenue of VND3 trillion last year. Moving forward, it is expected to receive over 4.2 million arrivals during the course of this year.
